CPC (Cost Per Click) Marketing Services
The Cost Per Click, or CPC marketing is based on a bid for placement or pay-per-click (PPC) advertising model. Advertisers "bid" against each other to be ranked well for popular terms . The advertiser funds their account with deposit of $50 or more, then they are charged for each person that clicks through from the search results to their web sites. Cost-Per-Click (CPC) marketing essentially allows you to pay to be listed in a specific position on the search engines results page when a user searches for a keyword or phrase that your are bidding on.
The listings that will appear will be in the form of a text link or ad with a title, short description, and a web address. These listings appear in the featured or sponsor listing area, located at the top or on the right side of a search engine result page. The higher you bid the higher the placement on the page. If you are the highest bidder, your listing will appear first on the page, second to the highest bidder, your listing will appear second on the page and so on.
For example, three sites may be bidding on the keyword "shoes" One advertiser may bid $0.19; another $0.17 and the third one, $0.20. When someone searches for "shoes," the listings will appear in order of highest bid: the $0.20 listing would appear first, then the $0.19 listing, then the $0.17 listing.
For the major Search engines that participate in CPC marketing, the top 3 to 5 bidders for a specific keyword or phrase will receive the highest distribution through their partner engine network.
For example, if you are bidding the for the number 2 position in Overture for the keyword "shoes", your listing will appear on the first page in the number 2 position on Overture, MSN, Altavista, Lycos, and Infospace. If you are bidding for the number 6 position in Overture for the keyword "shoes", your listing would appear on the first page #6 position in Overture, but in MSN, Altavista, Lycos, and Infospace, your listing will appear on the second page. The engines with the largest and most effective distribution are Overture, Google Adwords, Findwhat, and Kanoodle.
Your CPC listing is not permanent, bids can change at anytime, thus knocking your site out of a desired position. Another reason your listing may drop from the results is that your account may exhaust its' budget. For example, you may be bidding on one listing for .25 and you've funded your account with 50.00. You will receive 200 targeted clicks to your site before your deposit runs out. If it runs out, the listing will drop from the results pages and allow sites that were below you to increase in rank. What Makes Cost-Per-Click Advertising More Effective Than Other Methods of Marketing?
When a user types a keyword into a search engine, the person has already identified a problem
or a need and is taking action towards a solution. Traditional sales models identify four key
stages in the process of selling.
1) Attention - The user has identified a need and has taken initiative to fulfill their need by searching on the internet for the product or service.
2) Interest - The user has shown interest in your listing and has clicked the link to enter your website
3) Desire - The content on your website is appealing to the visitor and they continue to navigate through the site.
4) Action - The visitor trusts the content he/she is reading and decides to fill out the “Request Information” form on your website
